Indonesia is a country that most of its territory consists of the ocean. The diversity of fish found in Indonesian sea. But I will not discuss that. I will discuss about the government in Indonesia.
All the people of Indonesia know that Indonesia has a head of state, called President. Well, I will compare about the era of President Soeharto and the era of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Who don’t know them? They are the ones that have a great influence for Indonesia. Each of the presidents has similarities and differences during his tenure leading the country.
The similarity of the both president are selected by the people. But, if we discuss about the differences both of President, many difference between them. In the Soeharto era, the price of gasoline, food, and goods are cheap. In fact, there was a surplus of rice. Not a lot of unemployment, cases of corruption only happens if the President Soeharto gave a positive signal. President Suharto is decisive. But, behind the positive side in the era of Soeharto, there is a negative side. That is, People can not express opinion freely.
Move to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. In the era of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the prices of goods and food are expensive. People don’t have surplus rice but shortages rice. Many people are starving because of no money to buy rice that expensive. The effect, Indonesia has a lot of unemployment. Surprisingly, cases of corruption happened in the President territory. Positive side during SBY era is people can argue freely.
